Miolka Vicino – your print, your essentials close at hand
A bag you help create. Choose the fabric print and together we will fine-tune the colour combination. We adjust the length of the adjustable strap to your measurements, so you can wear it over a T-shirt as well as a winter jacket.
A distinctive rounded shape, a wider base and well-organised pockets make Vicino a practical companion for town, school or a walk. For teens and adults who want to keep their things with them and choose a look of their own.
How to order and what to write in the order note
Choose a print from the external fabric printer's range using the “Browse the prints” button above. The printer's website is in Czech, but you can simply browse the pictures and copy the link. Do not buy the fabric there – we order it for you. Then come back to Miolka and write in the order note:
- A link to the print or its exact name, outside the “Licencované desény” (licensed designs) category – Miolka does not hold a licence for those.
- Your wishes for the side and base colour. They can be patterned or plain. For example, write “a green matching the leaves in the print”, or “please advise”.
- Two measurements for the strap length: the full circumference over the shoulder at the wearing position, over a T-shirt and over a winter jacket. See how to measure below.
Before ordering the fabric, we will contact you and confirm the choice together. If the print is unavailable or unsuitable for the shape of the bag, we will suggest an alternative. We cannot start making the bag without a confirmed print and the measurements.
Small things organised, bigger things in the main compartment
Vicino has one main compartment and four extra pockets, so you can keep your phone and small items separate as you like.
- Zipped main compartment – for everyday essentials.
- Larger open inner pocket – for a phone or other flat items.
- Two smaller open inner pockets – for small items you don't want to search for.
- Zipped back pocket – for example for wrapped glucose tablets or other small essentials. The zip is covered by a strip of fabric.
The front is smooth, with no extra pocket, so the chosen print stands out.
Compact shape with a wider base
The bag measures approximately 26 × 12 × 5 cm – width and height at the widest point, depth of the base. The wider base makes room for items that don't fit into a flat pocket.
The front and back panels have a sewn-in reinforcement that helps the bag keep its shape. It remains a soft, naturally flexible textile bag.
The inner pockets follow the rounded shape and narrow towards the bottom. The larger pocket is about 22 cm wide at the top, the smaller ones about 10 cm each. Whether a particular phone fits therefore cannot be judged by the top width of the pocket alone. If you are unsure, send us your phone's dimensions including its case.
A strap made to fit you
The black strap is 4 cm wide, adjustable in length and has a plastic release buckle. Vicino can be worn over the right or left shoulder. The main zip has one slider, so switching shoulders changes the direction from which you open it.
- Decide where you want the bag to sit.
- Run a tape measure from that point diagonally across your chest, over the opposite shoulder and around your back to the starting point.
- Measure comfortably, without pulling tight, according to where you want the bag.
- Repeat the measurement over a T-shirt and over a winter jacket. Write both values in centimetres in the order note.
You measure the full loop, including the space for the bag itself. This is not your horizontal chest measurement or the length of the strap alone. Don't subtract anything – we prepare the right length from your values.
Print and colour combination of your choice
The whole bag can be patterned, or we can complement the front and back with a plain-coloured panel that runs around the zip, along the sides and across the base.
For prints with a clear direction, a plain panel may be better so that the motifs on the sides and base are not upside down. Small and medium motifs usually look more complete on a compact surface; with a large motif, only part of it may be visible.
We will confirm the suitability of the print and any accent colour with you before ordering the fabric. The exact shade may look different on screen than in reality.
Materials and workmanship
- Outer fabric: winter softshell with fleece backing, 100% polyester, 320 g/m².
- Lining and inner pockets: always black coated polyester.
- Reinforcement: sewn into the front and back panels.
- Zips: black YKK no. 5 moulded zips on the main compartment and the back pocket.
- Strap and buckle: always black, whatever print you choose.
Each bag is sewn individually in the Czech Republic. The price includes choosing the print, agreeing on the colour combination and adjusting the strap length to your measurements.
For everyday essentials and diabetes supplies
Vicino was designed with teens and adults with diabetes in mind. But the pocket layout suits anyone who wants to keep their phone, keys and other small items together.
For diabetes supplies, you can use the main compartment for a blood glucose meter with accessories or an insulin pen, the smaller pockets for small items and the back pocket for wrapped glucose tablets. There may also be room for a fruit pouch. What fits at the same time depends on the size of the specific items.
The bag has no tubing opening and is not designed for carrying a connected insulin pump. It has no cooling function.
Care
We recommend gently spot-cleaning soiled areas with a damp cloth and letting the bag air-dry. Do not dry on a direct heat source.
The softshell has a water-repellent membrane, but the finished bag is not waterproof. Seams and zips are not watertight.
Production and shipping
We sew Vicino only after you order. The production time also includes ordering and receiving your chosen fabric.
Shipped within 2–3 weeks of payment and fabric approval.
The bag is made to order according to your choice and measurements, so under consumer protection rules it cannot be returned within the 14-day withdrawal period. This does not affect your rights in the event of a complaint – see our terms and conditions for details.
Dimensions are approximate due to handmade production. The placement of motifs may vary from piece to piece. Photos of other versions marked as visualisations show possible colour options. One bag is sold; the mannequin, clothing and any other props are not included.
